Creating an engine that is able to obtain high levels of performance, fuel economy, reliability and affordability is no easy feat. It takes a team of highly skilled engineers and machinists along with a state-of-the-art facility stocked with innovative parts and equipment.

For Chrysler Group this challenge was obtained when the brand introduced its 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 back in the 2011 model year. We here at Spartanburg Chrysler Dodge Jeep would like to express that this isn't just a matter of our opinion. In fact, the motor has made the Ward's list of the 10 Best Engines for its third year running.

Another testimonial to the success of the engine is the fact that Chrysler Group has been producing on average one million units of the Pentastar V6, per year. That is nearly one unit every two minutes between the two Chrysler plants dedicated to producing the motor.

Crediting the hard work and dedication of his staff, Brian Harlow, Chrysler Group's Vice President, Powertrain Manufacturing, proclaims, "The accolades the Pentastar engine has received would not have been possible without the dedication of our employees in Trenton and Saltillo. They have worked tirelessly to build a high quality engine that exceeds our customers' expectations, while continuing to meet tremendous demand."1

This all hands on deck approach has paid off and pushed production of the Chrysler 3.6-liter V6 engine over 3 million units manufactured, to date.
