Chrysler Group, Jeep Have Good Year at Texas Truck Rodeo

The annual Texas Truck Rodeo is an event at which automakers enter their most utilitarian, capable, well-designed models for judging by the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) during a two-day competition.

The Texas Auto Association writers scrutinize the entered-vehicles (of which, this year, there were 63 SUVs, pickup trucks and crossovers) to determine which are the best choices based on their categories or segments. The winners are then deemed the (blank) of Texas.

Well, we at Spartanburg Chrysler Dodge Jeep are quite thrilled and proud to announce that this year's Texas Truck Rodeo was wrought with wins from various Chrysler Group models including the rugged off-roading brand, Jeep, who saw several of its new models take home honors. In fact, CLLC wins accounted for more than half of the total awards given out.

"The Ram, Jeep and Dodge brands from Chrysler Group clearly impressed our TAWA members at this year's event, says Michael Marrs, TAWA president. "There's no doubt that innovative powertrains, impressive designs and new technologies are paying off for these brands."1

Some examples of new Jeep models recognized by the TAWA include the 2014 Jeep Wrangler which won for the Off-road Utility of Texas and the 2014 Jeep Cherokee which won for the Compact SUV of Texas. The 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee incidentally took home honors in both the SUV of Texas and Mid-Size SUV of Texas categories.

If you'd like more information about the Jeep brand including the new Jeep models we mentioned in this post, or others that we carry, we at Spartanburg Chrysler Dodge Jeep invite you to stop by our convenient location of 1035 North Church St Ext in Spartanburg, SC, any time you'd like.
