
Through September 30, 2025, EV tax credit will continue to apply to eligible electric and plug-in electric vehicles that are leased, financed, new, and pre-owned. However, beginning October 1, 2025, a new EV bill will take effect with significant changes for consumers. Here's a look at the updated 2025 EV tax credit law:

Through 2025, EV tax credit for the installation of home charging equipment will continue to be available. In fact, home charging station tax deductions – worth 30% of the cost of charging equipment and home installation, or a maximum of $1,000.3 – will continue through June 30, 2026, but after that date, those credits will also disappear.1 However, drivers may still be able to access credits or discounts through their homes' electric companies.

No matter how the federal government chooses to alter rules about EV tax-credit-eligible vehicles, Spartanburg CDJR will continue to offer premium lease and finance incentives for nearly all new vehicles for sale. The following EV and PHEV vehicles qualify for the 2025 EV tax credit through September 30, 2025.

Yes, under the current 2025 EV tax credit law that runs through September 30, 2025, the Jeep Wagoneer S is eligible for up to $7,500 in tax credit when leased or financed.1 However, beginning October 1, 2025, the Wagoneer S will lose its Jeep EV tax credit as part of the new EV bill that has recently taken place.1
